All you have to do is install four "AA" batteries and you will be able to program the safe using any 2-8 digit pass code of your choice. You will also be provided with 2 override keys that will open the safe without the passcode. This way, you can always access your valuables even if you forget your code or the keypad batteries run out.

About the construction of the SentrySafe X105:

Besides the electronic lock with override key, this safe was constructed with a hardened steel lock plate to protect from drill attempts and a solid pry resistant body. It also has 2 solid steel live locking bolts and concealed hinges with a pry-resistant door.

The soft carpeted floor is great for protecting delicate items such as jewelry from scratches and dings plus the sleek black finish on the safes' exterior will provide years problem free use.
